Welcome to Pennington Church! We are a lively anglican evangelical
church in Leigh, Lancashire. We hope through this site and through

 Tony wrote in the August Magazine, “ Finally I would ask how much prayer you are engaged in for your cell, for our church and for our community.
I know prayer is hard to ‘quantify’ and we can pray as we walk to the shops, or walk the dog, but the question still remains—how often and how deeply do we pray?” It is very important that as, the body of Christ - as a church community we come together to pray. With this in mind Tony is starting a weekly Church Prayer Meeting in the Foyer each Friday from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. No day or time is “convenient” for everyone but please do try to attend. If you cannot come every Friday then you are still welcome to come occasionally. You don’t have to pray out loud—you can pray quietly in your heart—God still hears! But it is so important that we pray in unity and love together. The first Church Prayer Meeting is on Friday 7th September in the foyer from 6.30pm to 7.30pm
