He's a guy, like any other - flesh, blood, bones, hair (some would say too much hair in the beard department of course!). Jesus was born over 2000 years ago in a place called Bethlehem, which still makes it onto the news today when the Palestinians and Israelis are fighting. Back then though it was a quiet little town, and Jesus was born there in a stable - you might remember the story and a little thing we like to call "Christmas".

It's amazing that the whole world has heard of Christmas it seems, but so few seem to know about Jesus. I often wonder why that is. How can you celebrate someone's birth (that's what Christmas is all about) and not really know anything about them. Weird that. Anyway, he grew up to become a man - most boys do it seems. But he was no ordinary man (well, he was no ordinary baby was he). He was a perfect man in every way - never doing anything wrong to anyone, always loving, always speaking the truth, even paying his taxes when he was asked to. But he did more, much more than just be good. He taught others how to be good too, and more importantly than that he said, it isn't actually about just being good because at the end of the day that won't get you very far. He said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through me."

Strange thing to say that. He was talking about God. He was saying that we need to get back to God again and he is the way to do it. Ironincally, for someone misunderstood as just being a good teacher he said dont just be good, but believe in Him.
