Our Holy Communion Services fall into three categories.
1662 Prayer Book Holy Communion: these are alternate Sundays at 8am and are said services with a short Biblical sermon in the centre. There is also a prayer book sung Holy Communion once every 2 months on the first Sunday at 6-30pm. We create a quarterly rota which has all our services on it and you will see when the services occur.
Common Worship Holy Communion: these are either at 8am (alternate with 1662) or are at 10-30am. We create a service sheet each week for the services and so we do not give out any books other than hymn books, and even those are not as necessary as they used to be, because all the songs at 10-30am and 6-30pm (other than the 1st Sunday evening) are projected onto the screen via video projector.
Informal Holy Communion: This occurs each month on the 3rd Sunday evening and although based loosely around Common Worship it may include other elements and may exclude some of the usual parts depending on the topic, the leader and the preacher.
Our policy:we welcome to the Lord's Table all those who love the Lord Jesus as Saviour and Friend from whatever denomination. We are concerned that we stand in fellowship together on the basis of the authority of the Scriptures and salvation by faith in Christ alone. If you believe these things we welcome you to share with us in this meal of unity, love, joy and refreshment.
