A CHURCH FOR ALL OCCASIONS
We see ourselves as a church for all occasions and no matter what age or condition you may be in, Christ Church wants to help, from the youngest to the oldest, from the saddest to the most joyful, CCP is there for everyone who lives in the area.
What can we do for you? The list is endless, but here are a few things.
From Young to Older
Baptisms
We accept for Baptism all those who live within our parish. We have a policy of first having a ‘Thanksgiving Service’ and we only Baptise in our main morning service (3rd Sunday at 10-30am). The services are short, simple and lively as we welcome families into our church family.

We have 2 Mums and Toddlers groups, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It is a great time to talk and gain help and share experiences whilst allowing the young children to play and learn together.

Tiny Church
A short service in church, play and a snack for under 5s and their parents or carers. It’s just like church, only smaller and there’s lots of fun.

Whizz Kids
For school years 4 to 7 this energetic group is always active both inside and outside; with water slides in the summer and warm food in the winter. It has over 50 on the books and plays games, has craft as well as computer games and learning about Jesus. An all round great time!

Pathfinders
For Secondary school young people (11 to 14); this group takes Whizz Kids into a more mature and considered place. There are still messy games and silly things to do – fun is still a priority, but now they are asked to think more deeply about their faith as well.

Football
We have football teams for both lads and men; these are run by our church and are designed to teach Christian living at the most difficult level – on the soccer pitch. It is about teamwork, caring and working for one another and not retaliating.

Weddings
Christ Church is a lovely church for weddings, both inside in the church and outside in the grounds for photos. We welcome all those who fulfil the church requirements (that is: live in the parish, are old enough, have not been married before, and are not related) to the church. Funeral Services
There are many whose first contact with the church is through the sad loss of a relative or friend. We try to support those who are bereaved, not only through the service, but also with a group who visits those who are bereaved and listens to them and as they try to come to terms with their loss.

As you can see our church activities cover every aspect of life and we are pleased that so many people feel Christ Church is their ‘spiritual home’; maybe you feel the same. We are reminded of the painting by Rembrandt of the Father welcoming the Prodigal Son home. We see our church as here to welcome all and receive them back to our Father in heaven.
If you want to take any of the things we’ve mentioned above further, then ring our
church office number: 01942 609987 and ask for the contact person.
